Mount Kōya Sunrise Meditation
By Gerard Sarnat

Top of the world, chanting
with the monks and the birds
Warm our waking earth.

Mount Kōya Daybreak Healing Prayers
By Gerard Sarnat

South of Osaka’s smokestacks,
cable car to top of the world,
heightened

Warm our waking earth.

Loving kindness meditation
shifts to mindful:
Cool our dying globe.
