Remembrance

By Vipanjeet Kaur
I
Wish

To forget
Those who never
Remembered me. I adored
Those who never acknowledged me,
I feel that they will  remain
Forever indebted to me.
“Forgive them”,
Thought
I.

I
Decide to

March forward again
And rejoice. Let me breathe
Again as life is short and complaints
Are untold. Don’t give space to so many.
Those who care do not leave. Detach
 Yourself from those who go,
“Let go of them”,
Thought
I.
